Mezzo-soprano Génesis Beatriz López Da Silva is originally from Caracas, Venezuela, where she began her vocal studies in 2011 at the Conservatorio de Música Simón Bolívar — part of the renowned Venezuelan music education program El Sistema.Under the direction of Gustavo Dudamel, she appeared as a soloist in Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 in Caracas in 2015. Between 2013 and 2016, she performed several smaller roles in various zarzuelas.In the winter semester of 2018, Génesis began her Bachelor’s studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln under Prof. Mechthild Georg. Starting in the winter semester of 2022, she continued her training in the Master’s program in Opera and Music Theater at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, where she studied with, among others, Prof. Juliane Banse, Prof. Gernot Sahler, and Prof. Alexander von Pfeil.As part of her Master’s studies, she appeared in several stage productions, including as Mrs. Herring in Albert Herring (Britten), Dorabella in Così fan tutte (Mozart), Carolina in Elegy for Young Lovers (Henze), and Marcellina in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart).In summer 2023, she was awarded Third Prize at the 1st International Alfredo Hollander Singing Competition in Caracas. In September 2024, she reprised the role of Dorabella at the opera festival of the Stadttheater Bad Hall.At the same time, Génesis was a member of the Opera Studio at the Landestheater Linz for the 2024/25 season. During this period, she took part in the world premiere of the opera Adam und Eva by Mike Svoboda at the Schwetzingen Festival.In September 2025, she received Second Prize at the International Mozart Singing Competition at the Stadttheater Bad Hall and is engaged as a guest artist at the Landestheater Linz until April 2026.

La mezzosoprano Génesis Beatriz López Da Silva es originaria de Caracas, Venezuela, donde comenzó sus estudios de canto en 2011 en el Conservatorio de Música Simón Bolívar, parte del reconocido programa venezolano de educación musical El Sistema.Bajo la dirección de Gustavo Dudamel, se presentó como solista en la Segunda Sinfonía de Mahler y en la Novena Sinfonía de Beethoven en Caracas en 2015. Entre 2013 y 2016 interpretó varios papeles menores en distintas zarzuelas. En el semestre de invierno de 2018, Génesis comenzó sus estudios de licenciatura en la Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln con la profesora Mechthild Georg. A partir del semestre de invierno de 2022, continuó su formación en el programa de maestría en Ópera y Teatro Musical en la Universidad Mozarteum de Salzburgo, donde recibió clases, entre otros, de la profesora Juliane Banse, el profesor Gernot Sahler y el profesor Alexander von Pfeil. Como parte de sus estudios de maestría, participó en varias producciones escénicas, interpretando, entre otros roles, a Mrs. Herring en Albert Herring (Britten), a Dorabella en Così fan tutte (Mozart), a Carolina en Elegía para jóvenes amantes (Henze) y a Marcellina en Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart). En el verano de 2023, fue galardonada con el tercer premio en la primera edición del Concurso Internacional de Canto Alfredo Hollander en Caracas. En septiembre de 2024, interpretó nuevamente el rol de Dorabella en el festival de ópera del Stadttheater Bad Hall. Al mismo tiempo, Génesis fue miembro del Operastudio del Landestheater Linz durante la temporada 2024/25. Durante este período, participó en el estreno mundial de la ópera Adam und Eva de Mike Svoboda, en el marco del Festival de Schwetzingen.
